Security
LoanSifter works to protect the security of your information during transmission by using 128-bit, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input when you are signed into the system. We offer storage of some critical information online, such as credit card number, which can be encrypted and stored in the database. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer, as you are charged based on usage of your account and any damaging or illegal activity would be traced to your account. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer as neglecting to do so could result in someone else using your account to place an unauthorized order or other unwanted activities.
When customer data is collected it is transferred from the client using Secure Sockets Layers (SSL). SSL is a method which provides secure communications on the internet. Customer data gathered during the registration process is stored in a secure, password-protected database. Additionally, sensitive customer data such as credit card information is stored encrypted. The encryption technique used for storage is a 256 bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
